Limited edition of 150 copies, author's presentation copy to Sir Charles Aubrey Smith; 4to.........; coloured frontispiece, 100 plates (some coloured and mounted, some double-page), very occasional pale spotting, corners of opening leaves lightly bumped, publisher's green cloth gilt, top edge gilt, corners and spine ends bumped, small dent to lower edges of upper board, a few marks including light ring mark to upper board, spine faded, later gift inscription to upper endpaper but in all a superior of edition of this notoriously difficult title to find in very good condition.
