An interesting collection of medical and scientific tracts, many signed with the name Muhammad Mihdi Ishbari and dated to 1142 AH (1729 AD). The inclusion of a coherent fihtist (index) and contemporary foliation imply that this volume was copied and used as a reference material for personal use by a scholar or physician, likely Ishbari copying for himself. Furthermore, the portable small safina format of the text would have allowed space for personal annotations to be added over time or during travels.

Single volume, decorated manuscript on paper, from a mixed stock, mostly in Farsi with some sections in Arabic, 253 numbered leaves (plus some additional inter-foliated diagrams and notes added, a fihrist at the front and a contemporary final free endleaf), 200 by 104 mm; single column, text written diagonally in sefina format throughout, mostly 18-20 lines black nasta'liq per page, a few sections in red, one tree diagram and multiple circular diagrams in the text, contemporary foliation and a corresponding fihrist at the front of the volume, some minor worming else very clean and presentable condition; contemporary limp morocco with leather edging, centrally blind-stamped medallions to covers, a little creased and spine with small chips (and slight loss to leather) else good condition.
