Third edition; 4to (18.4 x 13.8 cm); engraved portrait frontispiece of the author, additional engraved title, numerous engravings to text, light age-toning, contemporary ink ownership inscriptions to prelims, V&A exhibition label to front pastedown, hinges cracked but holding, some evidence of worming to endpapers, rear flyleaf torn with loss; contemporary panelled calf, boards slightly worn, corners rubbed, overall a very good copy.

2 broadsides, one with text in English, French, and Italian, the other with text in Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, and Greek; evenly toned, edges chipped with loss, some short tears and slight creasing.
Preserved in a blue cloth wrapover folder: 74.4 x 58.5 cm.

First edition, 8vo (21.5 x 14 cm); 211pp. 13 pages of ads at the end, full page black and white photo reproductions and illustrations in the text, a few sporadic light stains to margins, closed tears to pp.115-118 repaired, otherwise bright and clean; original illustrated gilt Art Nouveau style wrappers by Mikhail Solomonov, rebacked with original printed spine laid down on paper, spine a little creased, Russian bookseller's stamp with ink annotations to lower cover, some minor staining to wrappers, a very good copy.

First edition, signed & inscribed by the author on half-title. 4to, (30 x 22 cm), contemporary half vellum binding gilt. Many b/w illustration plates, pages in fine, crisp condition. xviii, 160 pp.

Lge. 8vo; Preface by Loius M. Rabinowitz, Introduction by Joshua Bloch, 26 black & white illustrations, quarter tan cloth over decorative paper-covered boards, slight wear to corners, otherwise a near-fine copy.

First French edition, number 19 of 125; approx. 100 illustrations with text by Geradin, Alphonse Levu, Emile Levu, Henri Levu, Erward Levu, Schlesinger, Vogel, Worms and others; later green three quarters morocco, marbled boards with spine richly gilt, in 6 compartments; three titles, iv, 282 pp. with blanks to beginning and rear.

Revised edition, officially promoted in 1981 as a limited edition of 650 copies (of which only 53 were bound thus), however, on the limitation page of this copy, a calligraphic statement says: Four additional sets of sheets were discovered in 1986 and bound up, making a total of 264. This is number 204; 4to, (30 x 22 cm); signed gift inscription by the author to half-title, 2,466 miniature black & white illustrations throughout; original full goatskin gilt by Penine Binding, Halifax; [with] Supplementary Volume, flat signed on the half-title by the Author, some colour and many black & white illustrations; perfect bound with illustrated wrappers; both preserved in the original goatskin solander box, rear upper corner bumped, a little rubbed on extremities, otherwise very good, both volumes the enclosed in a fine state.
