First editions; 20 vols in 4, 8vo; etched frontispiece to each of the 20 titles by Jules-Armand Hanriot, vignette to each title page (some in colour), tinted pictorial headpieces, decorative tailpieces and initials, a touch of foxing to endpapers, light toning to leaves; contemporary half red morocco, original lithograph wrappers bound in, top edge gilt, others uncut, light wear to extremities, overall a pleasing set.

Number 10 of 30 copies on Japon, signed by the publisher; large 8vo (230 x 165 mm); 15 illustrations and over decorations by J. Parys and J. Roy; publisher's pictorial paper wrappers over card, slightly dust-soiled but otherwise very good.

Limited edition, one of 100 copies on vélin d'arches from a total edition of 425, 4to (28 x 19 cm); 14 etchings after Lobel-Riche, 11 of which are full-page, in three states (black and white, black and white with remarques, in colour with remarques) with an additional refused plate in colour with remarques, some spotting, original green printed wrappers bound in, doublures with green marbled papers, patterned endpapers, a.e.g.; green morocco binding by M. Chabert Fils, morocco onlay design of a woman waiting at the entrance to hotel to the upper cover surrounded by gilt panel and lantern design, small cupid onlay to lower cover with gilt panels, spine with raised bands and gilt tooling and red morocco lantern design, marbled slipcase with green morocco entry, a very good copy.

One of 310 copies, from an overall limitation of 366; 4to; frontispiece, photographic portrait, illustrations and plates; later green crushed morocco backed green cloth by Morrell, original wrappers bound in, spine slightly sunned, t.e.g., others uncut.

Limited edition, one of 500 copies (this numbered 133); 4to (28 x 21 cm); with 45 illustrations from original watercolours by Pierre Brissaud reproduced in pochoir and retouched by hand; original illustrated wrappers, in a chemise of blue boards with gilt and black square decorative design, black morocco label to spine, in a chemise of blue boards, an excellent copy.

Limited edition, signed by the illustrator to Doctor Potel, on papier japon; large 4to, (27.5 x 21.5 cm); 27 wood engravings in-text by G. Aubert and 10 coloured etchings hors-texte by André Lambert all after original watercolours by Gerda Wegener, with an extra suite in black and yellow; original wrappers with covers, ink inscription to top left corner of cover, some wear to edges but internally fine.

Limited edition and the first illustrated, one of 51 copies (this being no. 34) on papier hollande (from a total edition of 582); 4to (32.5 x 27 cm); illustrated with 24 original engravings after Lobel-Riche in three states, an extra suite of 12 of the plates in three states and an additional signed pen ink drawing, three pages of manuscript notes by Pierre Benoit entitled 'l'Art du Romanicer'; unbound as issued with original publisher's wrappers, in a later orange marbled slipcase.

Three volumes, 8vo (26 x 17 cm). 31 hand-coloured pochoir plates, monogrammed G.M., each with descriptive letterpress, loose as issued in original wrappers.

First Jarrolds edition, first printing; 8vo; publisher's dark blue cloth, spine slightly rolled, overall near fine, pictorial dust-jacket correctly priced at 'seven shillings & sixpence net', a little chipped fore-corners and spine ends, some slight rubbing to edges, but overall very good.

Album with 23 partly handcoloured erotic drawings. Somewhat later full calf, richly gilt, a.e.g. (some rubbing).
