Single volume, the 'Bombay 1275-76 edition', lithographed from a manuscript, illustrations in the text, 4 books of the Shahnameh all complete and present, lacking two preliminary folios (pp. 1-4, section of preface and fihrist) and 9 folios from the postscript at the end (pp. 36-54, including text for the Molheqât and Farhang-e alfâz-e nâdere), 295 x 205 mm; lithographed text throughout, numerous illustrations in the text, internally very clean and crisp condition, a few tears skilfully repaired; contemporary block-printed cloth over boards, covers detached, spine lacking backstrip, worn.

Two volumes, both printed in Farsi and German, complete, 8vo (each c. 235 by 160 mm); Farsi titles printed in red and black within red borders, engraved head-pieces opening the text to each volume also printed in red, bookplates to upper pastedowns of each volume, internally clean and crisp condition; contemporary full russet morocco spines ruled in compartments within slightly raised bands, covers double-ruled in green, later paper labels pasted to the spines of each volume, spines faded and extremities lightly rubbed, repair to upper edge of front cover of Tarikh-e Khani.

Single volume, lithographed from a manuscript in Arabic, 160pp., complete, 125 by 80 mm; printed from a manuscript in single column, 7 lines bold naskh script with vocalisation and diacritics, leaves a little browned and some very small chips to outer edges of margins (not affecting text), numerous early ink inscriptions in English including a list of contents and a part-translation of the colophon; contemporary quarter leather over marbled boards, a little rubbed.

First edition, single volume, lithographed on paper, complete, 8vo (219 by 140 mm); printed from a manuscript copied in a stylised naskh script, double ruled with a head-piece at the beginning of the text, boopkate o the Firuz library to upper pastedown, leaves a little darkened (as often) otherwise clean and crisp condition; contemporary red cloth, spine faded, library paper label to spine, extremities a little faded and mottled.

First edition; 3 volumes, folio; printed in Latin, Spanish and Arabic, half-titles, engraved vignettes (opening the text) and errata leaves present in each volume, contemporary Greek ink inscriptions to front free endpapers of each volume, some very small marginal wormholes and occasional light soiling, overall very bright and attractive condition; contemporary mottled calf, spine gilt in compartments within raised bands, red and green morocco labels to spine with lettering in gilt, lightly rubbed and scuffed at extremities.

First (and only) edition, 8vo, xxii, 461 pp., [1], including half-title, plus the errata leaf at end, printed in French and Ottoman Turkish, some very slight dusting and scattered stains, overall clean and crisp internally; bound in contemporary Ottoman leather over boards, covers ruled in blind, spine gilt in compartments with flora motif, spine and extremities lightly rubbed, a good copy.

Single volume, lithographed on paper, complete, 8vo (245 by 165 mm); printed from a manuscript copied in single column, 15 lines nasta'liq, headings and banners to separate chapters of the text, some leaves lightly browned else clean and crisp condition, boookplate of Firuz to upper pastedown; contemporary half leather over diced cloth-backed boards, covers lightly rubbed and soiled, remains of paper library label to spine.

A single folding manuscript map of Beshagard in south-eastern Persia, copied by 'Sulayman Qajar' and hand-coloured, copied on 6 sheets and linen-backed, total 475 by 605 mm; with two marbled paper wrappers pasted over board sections (forming covers when folded), paper label to upper cover, extremities a little rubbed, internally bright and attractive.

  9. Single pamphlet, small 8vo, printed in Ottoman Turkish, in original printed wrappers illustrated with portrait of Shakespeare and border details to upper wrapper, lightly stained along lower edge, wrappers strengthened along spine, a good example.

Second edition, printed in Arabic, two parts in one volume, complete, 4to (300 x 210 mm); two printed headpieces, text within double-ruled frames, a few spots, and a handful of slight marginal tears; in a contemporary blind-stamped Islamic binding, with flap, pastedowns of yellow glazed paper and blue marbled-paper; some early repairs to the joints, spine cracked; a remarkably crisp, clean copy in excellent condition.
