The year it was published, \u003cem\u003eThe Great Victorian Collection \u003c\/em\u003ewon the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for Fiction and Canada's Governor General's Award for English-language fiction.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eJanet Halverson designed for some of the most important mid-century authors and publishing houses including covers for Tom Wolfe, Mary McCarthy, Maya Angelou, and Joan Didion, and design for \u003cem\u003eHarper's\u003c\/em\u003e.
