Everest man on the mountain.. Both these newspaper souvenirs were published on the same day announcing the success of the British Everest expedition led by John Hunt which was also the same day as the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth. The 'anonymous' Times special correspondent was James Morris (who later became Jan Morris) who had joined the successful Everest expedition and was the first to break the news on the eve of the Coronation. Rare to find these newspapers in such good condition
