First edition, first printing (with the correct front and rear endpapers according to Linder); 16mo (160 x 110 mm); colour frontispiece, plain title vignette, 14 colour plates, colour pictorial endpapers, a little oxidising and curiously, mild spotting to some blank versos, some light spots to fore-edge (as usual but not affecting text or illustrations, a small smudge to corner of upper free endpaper but in the main, very good-plus; publisher's red boards with inset colour illustration, spine slightly sunned, otherwise a very good, sharp copy, in the original or coeval printed glassine dust-jacket, slightly over-sized (as it should be), toned and a few small manuscript ticks next to some of the titles listed on the rear panel, otherwise in exceptionally good condition and especially rare in such a good wrapper.
