The Whitmills were gardeners in Hoxton who specialised in fruit culture and developed a system of tree grafting. This influential book gave expert advice on grafting and fruit tree care throughout the year and explained innovations in forcing stone fruits, raspberries, and, especially, grapes. First published anonymously in 1726.
