That same year Dusseldorf-based dealer Konrad Fischer featured the Bechers at Art Cologne and distributed copies of Kunst Zeitung free for visitors to take. It was here that Ileana Sonnabend first encountered the Bechers' work when given a copy. Sonnabend was so enthralled with the images she pursued the artists and consistently supported them from the 1970s to 1990s, representing their work.
