Folio, wood-engraved additional title, frontispiece, 52 wood-engraved plates and numerous further text vignettes by Doré, text within double-ruled plain border, original captioned tissue guards (that to additional title with soft crease), a little light spotting at the front, attractive gift inscription dated 1873 to first blank, publisher's deluxe red morocco gilt extra, covers and spine richly gilt, little wear to corners, edge chipping to front free endpaper, all edges gilt, a very good copy.
