Yoshinoen Garden (Seed-Growers, Nurserymen, Exporters and Importers) based in Tokyo, Japan were awarded the Gold Medal of Honour for their "newest varieties of Iris" at the Anglo-Japanese exhibition held in London in 1910. Each plate in this catalogue depicts a different variety of iris cultivated by this nursery.
Hand-coloured woodblock print on handmade rice paper, numbered and captioned at top, outlined in ink. Framed in perspex. Overall size: 49 by 36.7cm.
