Facsimile of a scarce programme of the Jewish Demonstration to thank His Majesty's Government for their declaration in favour of the establishment in Palestine of a National Home for the Jewish People, which was held on Sunday, the 2nd December, 1917 at the London Opera House, with 'The Right Hon. Lord Rothschild in the Chair'.
Noted are the honorary speakers at the demonstration, which included, as expected, the Chief Rabbi, The Rt. Hon. Herbert Samuel, the future president Chaim Weizman, but also, surprisingly some 'Arab Representatives' - Shakh Ismail Abdu-al-Akki and M. Wadia' Kesrawnai.
The future national anthem of the State of Israel - 'HaTivkah' is printed in Hebrew on the last page of the programme.
