In 1919 Buchan published another book with the same title, under the pseudonym 'Cadmus and Harmonia', a wholly different type of work, which in later life he described as largely the work of his wife Susan, and refused to allow it to be reprinted. In the US the 1936 work could not reuse the title of the former work, so was there entitled The Man From the Norlands.
First edition, first printing; 8vo; light foxing early and late, else unmarked internally; publisher's green cloth, gilt lettering to spine and upper cover, map endpapers, with the pictorial dustjacket, correctly priced '7/6 net' on spine, top edge chipped on front and rear panel, costing part of the design to front, light staining and dust-soiling; a very good copy in the slightly worn dustjacket.
