This is the first English edition. The second edition of this title was published after a short interval as Baedekers received many complaints about the first edition. Scarce.
This title was one of the later editions published by Baedeker ..The majority of the guide concentrates on Spain with a small section on Portugal at the end (approx 85 pages). Maps include Tangiers, Gibraltar, Lisbon, Malaga and Santiago de Compostela.
First edition. lxxxvi, 618pp, 6 maps and 46 plans, front map and front free endpaper loose, pencilling on title-page, small tear in front map; publisher's red cloth gilt, spine slightly faded, tiny holes on spine edge; overall a good copy.
