First edition; 3 vols, 8vo; engraved frontispiece to each volume, single plate each to volumes I and II, errata slip in volume I, engravings within the text, contemporary ownership signatures of Robert McDonnell, bookplates of David Cabot, occasional light spotting, mainly to early and late leaves and to the edges of the textblock; original green cloth, titles to spines gilt, black coated endpapers, cloth lightly rubbed at the extremities, a few small spots and marks including small spots of dampstain to the lower boards of volume I and II, small wax drops on the upper boards of volumes I and III, a very good set; 395, 393, and 418pp.
