Also with a handwritten letter from Henry Graham, Clerk to the House of Lords, dated 10th August 1899, sending the \"authenticated transcript on vellum of the Resolutions of the House of Lords on the 8th June last, placed in an appropriate cover\". Also with a printed document from the War Office concerning Colonel Long's pension (£150 per annum).\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn 1898, at Omdurman an army commanded by the British General Sir Herbert Kitchener defeated the army of Abdullah al-Taashi, the successor to the self-proclaimed Mahdi, Muhammad Ahmad.
