A narrow poster, which was likely hung on the streets of Mandate Jerusalem, notifying its citizens about 'certain military operations in support of the Police' which were about to take place within the Old City Walls, and so 'the Public outside the City Walls' were advised to 'keep to their houses throughout the day'. The Proclamation signed by Richard Nugent O'Connor, Major-General, Commanding the Seventh Infantry Division of the British Army, who also served as the Military Governor of Jerusalem at the time.
