On the occasion of the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
London The Prime Minister's Office, 2002
The Queen is photographed wearing a sparkling pale blue/aqua evening gown with lace overlay embroidered with crystals and a sash detail at the waist with simple sapphire and silver shoes, designed by Stewart Parvin, his first design for her. It was hand-stitched in Parvin's London atelier using UK sourced fabrics, apart from the lace that came from either France or Switzerland. The Queen wore same dress in February 2002 to a dinner at Governor General's residence, Kings House whilst on a Royal tour of Jamaica when there was a power cut on the night she wore the dress, and it was said to have glimmered beautifully in the candlelight'.
Colour photograph of Queen Elizabeth II with her then current and four former Prime Ministers, taken at a Downing Street dinner given in her honour to mark her Golden Jubilee; signed by Tony Blair, Margaret Thatcher, Edward Heath, James Callaghan and John Major; 202 x 255 mm; framed and glazed 350 x 400 mm.
