First UK edition, first printing; 8vo (205 x 140 mm); illustrated frontispiece of a Sketch of stage setting setting of for the New York production by Jo Mielziner, a few very minor, faint spots to first few leaves, otherwise internally fine, publisher's blue cloth, lettered in silver on the spine, distinctive dust-jacket noting 'The Pulitzer Prize Pay 1955', toned, mild rubbing to corners and spine-ends, light dust-soiling to rear panel, faint mottling to endpapers and faint spotting to closed text block, else very good-plus.
