A collection of beautiful photographs and postcards depicting the eminent sites of mainland Europe.

The album opens with a series of Scottish landscapes and buildings, notably including Glamis Castle, the home of Shakespeare's Macbeth. It also includes views of six Scottish bridges. The remainder of the album depicts the architecture of major European cities in Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain and Denmark. The images offer lovely interior and exterior views of some of the most recognisable structures in the world including the Milan Cathedral, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile and the Frederiksborg Palace.

Includes a colour photochrom postcard by A. C. Champagne (active in the 1880's and 90's) imaginatively portraying a costal cityscape complete with fuming volcano. Also contains nine postcards with scenes from Corfu, Venice and Athens, and two photoengravings of Capri, an island off the coast of Italy, revealing local women at work.
