Frist edition of this important work on the Russian civil war

Sergei Melgunov was a Russian historian, publicist and politician best known for his opposition to the Soviet government and his numerous works on the Russian Revolution and Civil War. Admiral Kolchak (1874 - 1920) was one of the most prominent figures in Russian history, becoming Supreme Ruler of Russia before he was caught and executed by Bolshevik forces in Siberia.

First Edition. 2 vol. 4to. (22cm x 15cm) xiv, 238pp., vi, 238pp. plus small map of the movement of the war in Siberia. Internally in very good condition. Modern binding, marbled brown boards with quarter light brown morocco, spine in five parts with gilt detail and two parts in red. Original wrappers bound in.
