A view of Hezekiah's pool which is located in the Christian Quartler of the Old City of Jerusalem. The pool was once a reservoir forming part of the city's ancient water system. It dates back to the period of the Second Jewish Temple (the period between the years 538 BC to 136 AD) and was used up until the second half of 19th century.
This photo was taken between 1867 until 1885 and first published in March 1894 in an album titled 'Palestine and Egypt', which included photographs by Bonfils, Arnoux and Zangaki.
