One of the best copies we've seen of this neat little first edition of Cecily Parsley's Nursery Rhymes by Beatrix Potter, sister volume to Appley Dapply (1917), both in terms of the nursery rhyme content and the format, but drawing more upon the earlier memories & associations of the author than its sibling.
First edition, first printing (with the correct front and rear endpapers according to Linder); 16mo; colour frontispiece, plain title vignette, 14 colour plates and colour pictorial endpapers all by Beatrix Potter, a little very light foxing, bookseller's small label to front pastedown, but overall very good; publisher's red boards lettered in white, inset colour illustration to upper cover, a fine, sharp example.
