Full signed run of the collaboration between The Deerfield Press and The Gallery Press ending in 1984 with the retirement of Robert McGlynn, to which the last volume is produced as a 'garland' to mark the end of his forty-one year tenure as teacher at Deerfield Academy, Massachusetts.

The authors respectively are: Michael Hartnett, Robert Creely, James Seay, Seamus Heaney, Richard Murphy, William Stafford, John Montague, Wendell Berry, Derek Mahon, Louis Simpson, Robert McGlynn, Máirtín Ó Direáin, James Dickey, Thomas Kinsella, Richard Wilbur, James Merrill, Paul Muldoon, Donald Hall, and Eavan Boland.



First editions, all signed by the author, all limited; 20 volumes, 8vos (22 x 15 cm with one exception of 22 x 20 cm); each volume illustrated with woodblock engravings, sometimes double or triple toned, by Timothy Engelland; 19 vols in publisher's cloth and dust-jacket with gilt spine, final volume in publisher's wrappers, a hint of rubbing otherwise a fine set.
