The first UK edition of the American writer John Kennedy Toole's (1937-1969) picaresque tale of the antihero Ignatius J. Reilley. Published posthumously 11 years after the author's untimely death, A Confederacy of Dunces won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1981.

First UK edition, first impression, casebound issue; 8vo; unmarked internally; publisher's ivory cloth, gilt lettering to spine, spine slightly browned, with the unclipped pictorial dust-jacket by Ed Lindlof, minor creasing to edges, else very good.
