The first edition of the continued rapscallion adventures of the fantastic Baron Munchausen, published separately in 1792 by Symonds Owen to capitalise on the popularity of the original work first published in 1785 1786 and in its seventh edition by 1792. Rare to find separate as issued and in such good condition.

The excellent engravings in this work, ranging from the frontispiece portrait of our dashing hero to depictions of his voyage to Africa, the towing of an iceberg containing the Baron's ship, a vomiting sea-monster from China, a bridge between Africa and Britain, and the beating of a 'Nareskin' with the carcass of a dead bear, add a compelling and surreal visual element to the narrative, and must have enthralled readers of the period.
