Description

This second edition published shortly after the first (1938). There were two versions of this edition published; a) to club members with club insignia and the word ‘ Clubausgabe ‘ on title page and b) copies to the general public without insignia etc. present. This volume is the first version sold to club members. Austria is also included in this volume. Germany had gained the Suddetenland, invaded and annexed what she named the ‘ Proctectorate of Bohemia and Moravia ‘ and finally regained the Memel territory from Lithuania and all these areas are included in this volume. This copy does not contain the rare road map sometimes included loose. Endpapers dated “Mai 1939”.

Second edition. xxx, 813pp, 70 town plans, with club insignia and lettering on title-page , pencil inscription inside on endpapers; publisher’s variant coarse-grained binding, gilt lettered, original pictorial dust-wrapper with club insignia, slightly worn and faded; overall a good copy.
