The endpapers are dated “Januar 1936” and therefore this copy was issued after the Olympic Games in 1936 and does not have the “Olympic Plan.” Most town plans show squares, streets or bridges renamed under the Nazi regime. The publisher’s slip regarding the Germanisation of the name of the town Saarlouis to Saarlautern is present in this volume on page 284. Very rare in this condition.
Sixth edition. lii, 524pp, 33 maps, 75 plans and one large street map in rear pocket, publisher’s slip on p.284. publisher’s variant coarse grained binding, gilt lettered, slightly worn and faded as usual; overall a very good copy
