A handsome set of the Letters of Charles Dickens, with excellent provenance. Monica Enid Dickens, MBE (10 May 1915 – 25 December 1992) great-granddaughter of Charles Dickens, author of books for adults and children, mot famously perhaps her World's End and Follyfoot series.


3 vols., (Part 1 and 2, second editions. Part 3, first edition) 8vo., index to vol. 2 and 3, errata slip in vol. 3, the same, neat contemporary ink ownership to half-titles of vols. i & ii and title of vol. iii, minor spotting, mostly to preliminary pages, mostly to endpapers, else near-fine, modern half maroon morocco, black lettering pieces, marbled endpapers and matching edges, a few small, minor scratches, otherwise fine.

Provenance: Monica Dickens, writer and great grand-daughter of Charles Dickens, her name in pencil to the front free endpaper on vol. 1.
