Scarce set of Bradshaw guides bound in the original wrappers.
Section 1 covers London and Southern England; Section II covers Wales and Midlands; Section III- covers Northern England. Bradshaw’s series of timetables and guidebooks were originally produced from the late 1830s onwards and soon became essential for every traveller. There were 4 sections and Section IV covered Ireland and Scotland but each handbook is complete within itself and this rare three volume set cover England and Wales.
3 separate sections, Small 4to ( 16 x 13 cm), Section I: pp. xvii,  122, 78 adverts, Section II: pp xiv,  112, 78 adverts, Section III; pp xv.  128, 78 adverts, Section I: 4 folding maps, 6 steel-engraved plates; Section II: 2 folding maps, 5 steel-engraved plates; Section III: 7 maps and plans, 5 steel engraved plates, some scattered light foxing, two maps repaired to the reverse without loss; publisher’s pictorial printed wrappers, slightly worn and fragile, slight loss to the spine; a very good example.
