Description

Vincenzo Coronelli depicts in this small volumes 78 arms of the cities of the Veneto region, (drawn by the cosmographer P. Coronelli). The volume also includes 930 arms belonging to patrician families from the Veneto, with a description of the various blazon variants attributed to the numerous branches of these families (the Contarini, for example, have at least twenty).

[Second edition]. 12mo, (10 x 8 cm), title-page, [6], 117 engraved plates, some folding, some double-page, all numbered, many printed 2 per leaf, slight staining on title-page, bound in contemporary vellum, ink writing on boards and spine, some staining; else a good solid copy.
