Limited edition, one of 25 copies on japon (this numbered 1); illustrated by 20 colour plates hors-texte, two vignettes and a title frame by George Barbier, with two extra suites of these illustrations, one in colour and one in black and white (23 plates in each state), printed on japon mince and an original Chinese ink and gouache titled ‘Jeune Femme au cerf-volant’ signed and dated 1928 by Barbier; contemporary red morocco binding by Madame Marot-Rodde with silver gilt portico design to cover and lettering to spine, doublures and and endpapers of red silk; red morocco cover; in excellent condition.
