Narrative of a visit to Greenland in the steam yacht of the artist William Bradford, 1869, giving an account of the trip along the coast, from Julianehaab to Melville Bay, with chapters on the Norst ruins, on the settlement of Julianehaab, glaciers, icebergs, fiords, polar bear hunting, Upernavik, Disko Island, Godhavn, etc, with numerous illustrations of local scenes and customs.


First edition. 8vo, xiv, [ii], 312 pp, frontispiece, 20 wood-engraved plates, illustrations in text, contemporary green polished half calf gilt, red morocco label, marbled sides and edges, an excellent example.
