The account of the English portion of the grand tour made by Cosimo di Medici accompanied by the philosopher Magalotti. The fine aquatints include views of country houses such as Althorpe and Wilton, and town views including Dorchester, Salisbury, Cambridge, Oxford, Chelmsford, Epping, Brentford, Egham, Basingstoke, etc. The fine panorama of London is approximately 86 x 23 cm., and shows London from the south bank of the Thames, centred just a little east of Westminster Abbey.
