  1. Two copper engraved plates with hand-colour. Framed and glazed, overall size: 46.2cm by 55.2cm by 5cm.

  2. Folio (361 x 229 mm). Contemporary calf, rebacked with old red morocco spine label laid down, edges marbled, in a red quarter morocco solander box. Engraved portrait by Martin Droeshout above the verses To the Reader on verso of the first leaf, title with fleur-de-lis device (McKerrow 263), double column text within typographical rules, woodcut initials. Covers worn and repaired, free endpapers renewed; first owner's signature on blank recto of portrait causing show-through and a single tiny burnhole from the ink in the hatched background, restored, E6 folded in the press at lower corner and so printed without loss, F3 with tiny split at border rule, 2Hlv with 18 letters neatly supplied by an early hand in pen and ink as a result of light inking in the press, sig. 2H slightly dampstained towards fore edge, 3Z2 with press tear affecting nine lines and partial loss of a word, about five tiny rust holes and about eight natural paper flaws affecting approximately thirty letters throughout, a few very minor nicks, tears and trifling wormholes, all marginal, a few very minor stains; overall, a very good, fresh, unsophisticated copy.

  3. First edition in English. Folio (39 x 25 cm); [12], 53, [3], 55-271, [3], 273-441, [7] pp., 80 engraved plates comprising 78 plates of birds showing multiple subjects numbered 1-LXXVIII, and 2 un-numbered plates of netting, bookplate, some minor tears to a few pages; occasional light soiling, contemporary calf, neat restoration to edges and extremities, a very good copy.

  4. First edition in English, 12mo, engraved frontispiece, without initial and final blanks, first and last few leaves toned at extremities, contemporary speckled sheep, lightly rubbed, small defect to head of spine, a very attractive example in original, unsophisticated state.

  5. Folio; title printed in red & black with large woodcut device, woodcut initials and decorations, later bookplate mounted on verso of title, light dust-soiling to title, but overall internally in very good order, bound in antique style full modern calf, a handsome copy.

  6. First edition. 8vo in fours. pp. 228 pp; last two leaves just shaved at fore-edge but not touching text, stab hole to upper/inner margin throughout, contemporary full burgundy morocco, spine with title and decorative devices in gilt, boards ruled in gilt, gilt dentelles, all edges gilt, blind monograms of Stirling-Maxwell to covers; light rubbing.

  7. Large engraved panorama on 4 numbered sheets joined (58.5 x 212 cm). With the woodcut running title in 6 sections pasted above, three panels of descriptive letterpress text composed of 6 half-sheets, in 18 numbered columns pasted outside the lower border, contemporary wash colouring; loss of printed area at right, some restoration, as typical, with paper loss, some manuscript reinstatement and retouching, relaid on a modern board backing, with stretchers. Overall dimensions: 75.5 x 229 cm.

  8. First Edition. 2 volumes in one, folio (33 x 20cm), engraved allegorical frontispiece by Daniel Theobald, some engraved initials and in-text illustrations throughout; some errors in pagination, occasional browning to later leaves. Contemporary vellum with red morocco label to spine; a fine copy of this very scarce work.

  9. First (only) edition, folio (31.4 x 20 cm.), title printed in red and black, additional engraved title, 3 folding maps, 8 double-page plates and maps, 6 single-page plates, illustrations in the text, contemporary calf, gilt stamp on upper cover 'Military Depot' with Royal Arms of the United Kingdom, Zante plate bound upside down, rebacked retaining original spine, a very good copy.

  10. First edition in English. 8vo, [16], 325, [3](blank), [14](catalogue of books)pp. Contemporary marbled calf with blindstamped panel decoration, spine gilt in compartments, paper flaw with associated tear in E4, hinges cracked but holding firmly, spine and gilt rubbed, else very good.
