  1. 5 vols, 4to (29.3 x 24 cm); text in Dutch and French in two columns; with two frontispieces engraved by Th. Koning after J. Buys, including one enhanced in colour, hand-coloured title engraved by C.J. de Huyser, and 442 hand-coloured plates (42 of which are in the Supplement), with 10 titles including one engraved and hand-coloured, and two leaves of subscribers; beautifully bound in full contemporary red morocco (for the first 4 volumes), spines with raised bands, richly decorated, titles, volume numbers and provenance in green morocco, gilt fillets on the boards and on the edges, gilt inner dentelle, all edges gilt, identical pastiche binding for the 5th volume (Supplement); an excellent copy.

  2. A group of four double-page engraved plates after Miccinelli and Costa. Sheet size: 70.5cm by 99cm. Mounted size: 81cm by 101cm.

  3. First edition; folio ( 38.5 x 24.5 cm); title-page in red and black (second state), folding engraved frontispiece, 25, [1], 52, 26, 29-31, [1], 8pp. (pages 27-28 in part 3 were never issued), text in double columns, 76 engraved plates (most folding), printed on various paper weights, comprising Muller's plates 1-45 (one of the 4 parts of Muller 26 missing and replaced with a non-listed alternative), 47-70, 72-73, plus Muller supplementary numbers 2-4 and 7, with additional state of Muller 65, small bifolium with manuscript in French, dated 1802 pasted on to upper fly-leaf, 8 pp. of manuscript satirical poem in Dutch in two coloums on rear fly-leaves, loss to lower third of upper fly-leaf, text lightly browned, a handful of small wormholes or trails at extremities just touching one letter of one plate, contemporary half vellum with title to spine, rubbed, inner hinges cracked, an excellent copy.

  4. Eighteen hand-coloured mezzotint engravings of Aloes in decorative pots. Framed and glazed in handmade gold leaf frames, overall size: 28cm by 42cm by 3.5cm.

  5. First edition; folio, (40.4 x 26.7 cm); complete with engraved author portrait and architectural frontispiece and 60 further engraved plates, tissue repair to top of frontispiece, light tears on pp.2, 45, 283, missing corner on p.283, tape repair to plate xli; recent vellum binding; 340pp.

  6. First Dublin edition. 8vo., [2], x, 244 pp., slightly spotted and slightly soiled, contemporary calf, a very good copy.

  7. 2 vols bound in 4. Folio (41.4 x 26.8 cm.), two title-pages, text in two columns, ruled in red, two printed title-pages, extra-illustrated with 213 engraved plates (29 double-page), marbled endpapers, some minor marginal staining to some plates, bookplates; bound in contemporary navy morocco gilt with the arms of the second duke of Newcastle, all edges gilt, the border beautifully decorated with an elaborate gilt design , spines also gilt in compartments, gilt edges, bindings slightly faded, extremities very slightly rubbed; otherwise an excellent copy.

  8. First edition, 4to; presentation copy, inscribed 'To the Hon.ble the Lord Woodhouselee from his sincere friend the Editor by the hands of his brother. Marie Guthrie' on front free endpaper, ownership inscription of Alexander Fraser Tytler on title, 2 folding engraved maps, 3 engraved plates, numerous illustrations in text of medals and 8 full-page, some very slight spotting, modern calf-backed marble boards, black label and gilt title, a very good copy.

  9. Large folio. Title and text in Latin and German, 132 fine hand-coloured etched plates, (11 of mammals, 121 of birds), UNCUT in contemporary calf-backed marbled boards, a little worn, the plates in fine condition with bright colouring, etched by P. Mazell after P. Paillou and others, an excellent copy.

  10. First edition. folio (44.5 x 28 cm), uncut, ii, 533, [ii] pp., engraved frontispiece, 75 engraved plates, title page printed in red and black with engraved pictorial vignette, light water stain to frontispiece, attractive modern calf-backed boards, spine gilt, red morocco label, an excellent example.
