First editions, first vol. signed and with autograph letter from the author; 6 vols, 8vo (215 x 155); maps and illustrations; uniformly bound in red crushed morocco by Bayntun, sides with gilt rule border and emblem on upper covers, spines gilt with raised bands, morocco turn-ins gilt, original dust-jackets bound in at the rear, top edges gilt, these a little scratched, otherwise a fine set.

1p., US letter, horizontal crease where previously folded, very good; unframed.

Typescript with autograph annotations, 2 pp., 4to, n.p., annotated by JFK at the upper margin, slightly toned, very small tear to top edges of pages, small creases to corners.

First edition. 4to, (28cm) lxxxii, 496 pp., 2 pages ads at end dated 1818, with letter from Tuckey loosely tipped-in, folding map, 13 engraved plates, one coloured, old repair to map at fold, contemporary half calf, marbled boards, black morocco lettering piece, neat repairs to joints and extremities, a very good copy.

Autographed letter, two A5 sheets of pale blue headed paper, 4pp., dated '8.7.61', with crease where folded, else fine.

A characteristic Steadman sketch of the then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher with autograph dedication from the author, reproduced together on an A4 sheet, with original autograph signature & date by the artist below, light horizontal fold; with postcard depicting a Steadman illustration, inscribed by Steadman on the reverse.
