Cook Oceani Investigator acerrimus' (the most intrepid investigator of the seas); reverse: full-length portrait of Britannia, her shield resting by her side, and the legend 'Nil intentatum Nostri Liquere' (our men have left nothing unattempted) and 'Auspiciis George III' in exergue.
