3 vols, folio, (55 x 37 cm); 182 fine hand-coloured lithographic plates, most heightened with gum-arabic, by Gould and Henry Constantine Richter, printed by Hullmandel & Walton, subscriber's list, scattered light foxing affecting some text leaves and plates, some offsetting, very light marginal browning and occasional trivial finger-soiling; publisher's green morocco gilt, spines richly gilt in six compartments with raised bands, gilt lettering to second and third compartments, all edges gilt, yellow endpapers, corners slightly rubbed; overall an extremely handsome copy.

The 'South Seas' issue; 2 vols bound as one; folio (35.5 x 29 cm, 14 x 11.5 in); two armorial bookplates to front pastedown; hand coloured etched frontispiece, two engraved parallel titles in English and French (the first with imprint also in French), engraved dedication to the King, two engraved explanatory tables, half-title, engraved plate of medals (undated), 80 hand coloured engraved plates numbered in a contemporaneous hand, with two loose contemporaneous single leaf prospectuses in English and French; contemporary full red morocco by L. Staggemeier and Welcher (with ticket), gilt-ruled borders of a Greek key roll and gilt-dotted rule, gilt spine with emblematic and classical tools offset by two green morocco contrasting lettering-pieces, all edges gilt, extremities lightly rubbed, a few minor stains to binding, very occasional spotting internally; 39, [1]pp (pagination begins half-title verso). A very fine copy.

six volumes, 4to, 240 plates including additional title-pages printed in colour, by Benjamin Fawcett after Lydon, original brown cloth richly decorated in gilt and black, all edges gilt; occasional light spotting, front free endpaper vol. 1 wit h wear to fore-edge, a very good set.

Two volumes bound as one, folio, (51 x 39 cm); 26 full page colour plates by offset lithography from the 1842 originals, very occasional spotting to margins; near contemporary rich full red morocco with gilt spine (slight fading), borders and edges, slipcase with minor wear, marbled endpapers. A fine example.

3 vols, 4to (26.4 x 20.1 cm); hand-finished chromolithographed half-title in volume I, 137 hand-coloured lithographed plates, light foxing, heavier to volume II, affecting some plates, some age-toning; contemporary green half morocco over marbled boards, spines with raised bands, elaborately gilt in six compartments, all edges gilt, yellow endpapers, spines slightly sunned, extremities slightly rubbed, overall an attractive example.

First US trade edition; 4to; 16 tipped-in colour plates by Edmund Dulac, including frontispiece, title within decorative border, decorative headpieces, gift inscription to front free endpaper dated 1925; publisher's pictorial cloth, gilt lettering to spine, corners slightly rubbed, with the pictorial dustjacket, slightly marked, some edge-wear, front cover chipped, otherwise a very good example.

First edition, first impression; oblong 4to; 22 full-page colour plates by Elinor Darwin, light toning to leaves, very occasional creasing; original brown pictorial boards printed in red, red blindstamped roundel to front cover, light wear to spine ends, corners slightly rubbed, some marks to boards, otherwise a very good copy.

First edition (Italian text version); 14 vols bound in 18 [with] 4 supplementary volumes, 22 in total; large 4to; illustrated with 6 large folding maps, 1640 aquatint plates, of which 1517 are hand-coloured, various tables, etc., portrait of Francis I replaced with an emblematic portrait of 'Terra', occasional short closed tears (not affecting plates), scattered light foxing, plates slightly toned, 2 vols heavily toned; contemporary vellum-backed maroon boards, red and green morocco spine labels with gilt lettering, a very good set.
