Tall narrow 8vo (232 x 126 mm); comprising 60 double-page charts for locomotive specifications, 14 with ms. additions, 13 original hand-coloured drawings of G.N.R. locomotives, a few others with unfinished pencil sketchings; original roan, rubbed at extremities, upper hinge pulling slightly with some splitting.

First edition. 8vo, xii, [ii], 328, [1], [2](ads)pp., colour lithograph frontispiece, 2 engraved portraits, folding chart, 3 plans, 2 lithograph plates, 2 folding tables, original red cloth gilt rebacked preserving spine.

4 hand coloured aquatints (45.5 x 78 cm) of the London docks. Framed and glazed.

First English edition. 2 volumes, 8vo, xxxi, 352; xi, 397pp., translated by Mrs Percy Sinnett with an introduction by Alexander von Humboldt, folding map, 11 chromolithographed plates, some captions cropped, 12 woodcuts, bound as an Eton College leaving present in contemporary tan calf gilt, spines in six compartments, red and green labels to second and third, others richly gilt, raised bands, small repair to foot of spine, a fine set.
