  1. 3 parts in 2 volumes, folio, (45 x 28 cm); rubricated throughout, 8 engraved plates, of which 7 are double-page or folding, comprising a large double-page view of the Garden of Eden by Pierre Lombart, 4 architectural plates, of which 3 are double-page, 3 engraved maps of the Holy Land, panoramic view of Jerusalem, plate of the English Royal arms, all by Hollar, lacking title of second part of the Old Testament in volume one (as usual), scattered light foxing, occasional light damp-staining affecting extreme edges of some margins, occasional closed tears, neatly repaired; early nineteenth century diced Russia gilt, rebacked to style, all edges gilt, corners worn, overall an attractive example; [1], 8 ff., A-Z6, 2A6-2Z6, 3A6-[3L5-6] 3Z6, 4A6-4Z8; a6-y3, 1 f., A6-Z6, 2A6-2E8, 2 ff., A-Z, 2a-2l.

  2. 4to, 22.3 x 16.5 cm, 4, 190, 127, 121, 11 leaves; bound without the apocrypha but with both illustrated title pages (dated 1610), colophon dated 1611, 4 maps (Garden of Eden, Exodus, the Promised Land in OT, the Holy Land in the NT, a few woodcuts in the text, small defect to first leaf of 'To the Christian Reader' affecting a few letters, small burn mark to leaves 78-81 of Old Testament in the inner largely blank margin but affecting some notes, large corners torn from leaves 160 & 161 with loss of text, short tear to blank foot of leaf 190 Old Testament not affecting text, small corner torn from leaf 76 New Testament with loss of text and a larger corner from leaf 90, short tear to final leaf of table at end, a little light soiling and old staining commensurate with age, a defective copy of Sternhold and Hopkins' Booke of Psalmes, 1610, bound in nineteenth century half calf, quite worn at spine extremities, rubbed, lacks label, a good example of a pre-King James Bible.

Folio (41.4 x 26.8 cm.), two title-pages, text in two columns, ruled in red, two printed title-pages, extra-illustrated with 213 engraved plates (29 double-page), marbled endpapers, some minor marginal staining to some plates, bookplates; bound in contemporary navy morocco gilt with the arms of the second duke of Newcastle, all edges gilt, the border beautifully decorated with an elaborate gilt design , spines also gilt in compartments, gilt edges, bindings slightly faded, extremities very slightly rubbed; otherwise an excellent copy.
