  1. 12 vols, 8vo (200 x 150 mm); illustrated with full-page colour plates by H.M. Brock, mild offsetting from plate tissue guards to some title-pages, a little more pronounced to vol. I of Pride and Prejudice, otherwise internally fine; bound by Whitman Bennett, N.Y. in half blue morocco gilt over marbled boards, with matching endpapers, top edge gilt, others untrimmed (as published), minor rubbing to extremities and some corners innocuously chipped, spines uniformly faded to green, otherwise a very good.

Limited edition, one of 150 examples on Arches, from a total edition of 170, signed by the illustrator on the justification, 4to (30.5 x 26 cm); numerous illustrations printed in colour after Schmied, 14 of which are full-page, head and tail pieces, initial and decorations also after Schmied, many heightened in gold and silver, frontispiece signed in pencil by the artist, a.e.g.; finely bound by Charles Lanoë in blue morocco with intricate Art Nouveau onlay design with gilt detail to covers and spine, patterned silk doublures, marbled endpapers, original wrappers bound in, a fine example.

Brooke; near-cotemporary full green morocco, inlaid with red carnations to covers, gilt-panelled dentelles, lined in ivory moire, all edges gilt, small, light stain to lower, outer corner of front free lining, with offsetting to following page, otherwise a most handsome volumes and internally fine.
