First editions; 20 vols in 4, 8vo; etched frontispiece to each of the 20 titles by Jules-Armand Hanriot, vignette to each title page (some in colour), tinted pictorial headpieces, decorative tailpieces and initials, a touch of foxing to endpapers, light toning to leaves; contemporary half red morocco, original lithograph wrappers bound in, top edge gilt, others uncut, light wear to extremities, overall a pleasing set.

Aubert and 10 coloured etchings hors-texte by André Lambert all after original watercolours by Gerda Wegener, with an extra suite in black and yellow; original wrappers with covers, ink inscription to top left corner of cover, some wear to edges but internally fine.

II with 90 signed colour drawings avec remarque by Carlo Farnetti to illustrate an unpublished edition of the work, 6 watercolours on thick paper signed by Dignimont, 27 drawings (mostly signed some hand-coloured) by the same, and over 100 proof sheets (in colour and black and white) after Dignimont also to illustrate a previously published edition of the work; both housed in modern maroon morocco boxes.
