First edition; 8vo (22.5 x 14.5 cm); numerous full-page photographic plates, ink presentation inscription to front free endpaper verso, dated 1900, loose contemporaneous postcard, occasional light spotting but in the main bright; contemporary blue calf, upper and lower panels with inner beaded border in blind and gilt double outer borders, gilt spine with raised-banding, contrasting title-piece in gilt and red morocco, marbled edges, the spine with light wear and fading, and a upper side edges slightly crinkled, otherwise a very good copy.

Second edition; 8vo (20.5 x 12.5 cm); inscription in pen to title header, light foxing to prelims, D8 with small marginal tear and partially detached from text-block; disbound, stitched as issued; [4], 47 pp.
