Contemporary aubergine full morocco gilt, borders and geometric designs gilt to covers, spine in five compartments, letters to second and fourth, others richly gilt, raised bands, all edges gilt. light spotting and damp staining, an attractively bound set.

Alexander, and 7 double-page folding maps; occasional browning and spotting, heavier on 2 plates. Text volumes in contemporary calf, atlas volume in half calf over marbled boards; rebacked in lighter calf to style, a bit rubbed.
