  1. 8vo (98 x 69 cm), lithograph with hand-colouring ,dissected into 25 sections and mounted on linen, minor offsetting and browning, folding into red straight-grain morocco gilt by 'Wickwar Binder London', upper cover decorated with Royal coat of arms and lettered 'Plan of Lucknow, fine.

  2. Third edition, 4 volumes: (3 vols 8vo text & folio atlas of engraved plates), 37 numbered plates on 29 sheets of which 16 double-page or large folding,text contemporary tree calf gilt, red and green labels, atlas contemporary calf-backed boards, calf tips, a very good set.

  3. Hand-coloured double-page engraved map, Dutch text on verso, flanked at sides with 17 coats of arms of the colleges, plus a blank shield, and seven family coats of arms, plus a blank, near-fine; 430 x 525 mm (17 1/2 x 22 inches); framed glazed (modern) 540 x 645 mm (21 1/4 x 25 1/2 inches).

First English edition, 8vo (21.4 x 14.4 cm), xx, 118, 2 (publisher's ads) pp., engraved folding map by Thomas Kitchin hand-coloured in outline and engraved title vignette and half title, contemporary half calf with armorial crest on the spine, neat repairs to extremities, an attractive example.

First edition, large paper copy. 2 volumes, (32 x 24.5 cm); Volume I with 16 plates and maps (some folding), 4, 4, [2], iv, iv, iv, iv, [4], 578 pp., index; Volume II with 13 maps and plates (some folding), 2, 2, iv, 4, 4, iv, 576 pp. Together 29 plates and maps; Contents leaf in volume I only, volume II without a general title (as often) and without section titles, the title leaf A Plan for the Publication dated 1790 inserted at front of vol. ii, the fifth part (published 1808) not present here, a small old tape repair to verso of map at page 499, vol. i, old blind-stamps of the Explorers Club to first leaf each volume, finely bound in modern tree calf antique, covers with fanct gilt borders, flat spines in six compatments, red and green labels to second and fourth, others richly gilt, a very handsome set.

  6. Trifold (19 x 9.3 cm approx) extending to 19 x 27 cm., engraved title, partly coloured map, a fine example.

  7. 4 volumes, folio (42.6 x 27.8 cm). Title-pages printed in red and black. Engraved title vignettes by M. Baquoy after A. Humbolt, 4 engraved head-pieces after Humbolt, 65 engraved plates, the majority of these maps, many folding or double-page (a few with contemporary outline-colouring), by Delahaye, Desbrulins, and Fonbonne after Humblot, Lucas, Le Parmentier and others, engraved and woodcut initials, woodcut head-pieces. (first half title creased with paper flaw to lower outer corner, some occasional pale spotting or minor browning, minor marginal hole in Aaaaaa1.) Contemporary French mottled calf, sides with central gilt-stamped arms, spines in seven compartments with six raised bands, each with red and brown gilt-lettered lettering pieces in two compartments, gilt-decorated panels in the rest, small repairs to extremities, a very handsome set.

  8. Folio (53 x 39.5 cm), iv, 42 pp., 24 coloured maps (10 double-page), publishers brown half morocco over printed boards, covers lightly stained, 7 maps with small loss to blank upper margin only, a very good copy.

  9. First edition in French, 2 vols in one, folio (38.8 x 25.2 cm). Titles printed in red and black with engraved vignettes. Engraved frontispiece, one head-piece, 45 engraved plates, plans and maps (mostly double-page or folding). Engraved title margin browned, occasional very minor spotting or browning. Contemporary speckled calf gilt (minor wear to joints and extremities), a very good example.

  10. Hand-coloured lithograph map, dissected and mounted on linen, folding into publisher's yellow advertisements and original green cloth covers.
