First edition. 2 vols, 8vo, illustrated throughout by Raffet and Vernet, contemporary red half morocco gilt, light rubbing and fading, a very good set.

Two volumes, 4to, edition limited to 500 numbered copies, Portrait frontispiece, map endpapers, title page vignette and binding designs by John Buckland Wright, original green cloth gilt, top edge gilt, others uncut, minimal soiling to covers, a very good set.

Second edition; 4to (246 x 182 mm); half-title, frontispiece portrait, 21 further plates; publisher's maroon cloth, spine and upper cover lettered in gilt, residue of label removal at foot of spine, otherwise very good condition overall.

First edition, first impression, signed by the author on title-page; publisher's boards, dust-jacket, unclipped and without fading, a fine copy.
