8vo, publishers brown cloth boards with ornamental gilt and blind-tooled title to front and gild title to spine. 12 engraved tinted plates and many small illustrations in text. edges rubbed, light foxing, a few inner joint cracks but holding firmly. Inscriptions of previous owners to front endpapers. 718 pp.

Typescript with autograph annotations, 2 pp., 4to, n.p., annotated by JFK at the upper margin, slightly toned, very small tear to top edges of pages, small creases to corners.

First edition, first issue (indicated by the closing left flower vignette on p.86), 8vo (240 by 160 mm), text in German; recent calf boards, one leaf cut in bottom right corner with no damage to text, pencil inscriptions and pen notations on two leaves, small marginal tears. 86 pp.
