  1. First edition; 8vo, engraved frontispiece, viii, 198pp., with errata slip; fine bright, original blue pictorial cloth gilt, neat closed tear (<10mm) to outer edge of frontis, otherwise a very good copy.

  2. Fourth edition, 2 vols, 8vo, half-titles, folding engraved map frontispiece with the usual light offsetting and spotting, bookplate on front pastedowns, further bookplate on vol. I front fly-leaf, contemporary polished half calf with marbled boards, a fine set.

First English edition; 12mo (13.5 x 8 cm); light marking and soiling to title, I2 with small portion of restoration, affecting a few words, occasional browning, margins trimmed, ink inscription 'ffor my Lady Conway' pasted to front free endpaper, ink ownership inscriptions to front free endpaper and rear pastedown, auction description tipped onto front pastedown, repair in manuscript to hole in I2; contemporary tree calf, spine gilt, contrasting red morocco lettering-piece, sympathetically rebacked, edges stained red, extremities lightly rubbed; [16], 128pp.

I: 29 engraved plates and maps (6 folding, lacking plate Baja di Campeggio but with a duplicate of the isthmus of Panama), vol. II: 23 engraved plates and maps (11 folding), vol. III: 24 engraved plates and maps (8 folding), contemporary calf-backed patterned paper boards; a bit rubbed.
